The China National Silk Museum

The China National Silk Museum (CNSM) opened in February 26, 1992, and was extensively refurbished in 2015-2016. During the refurbishing, Relicase supplied the museum display cases for China Pavilion, Western Pavilion, Silk Road Pavilion and the temporary exhibition hall.

The China National Silk Museum, near the West Lake in Hangzhou, is one of the first national-level museums in China and the largest silk museum in the world, covering an area of​​ 50,000 square meters and a building area of​​ 8,000 square meters.

As the largest specialized museum on textiles in China, the main goal of CNSM is to research and conserve Chinese textile relics. In 2010 it became the home of the Chinese Center for Textile Identification and Conservation (founded 2000).

The Museum has several permanent galleries, including 'the Story of Chinese Silk', 'Sericulture and Silk Craftsmanship in China', a 'Textile Conservation Gallery' and the 'Xinyou Archive Center'.

Classical Paintings of Ancient China Exhibition

For the Classical Paintings of Ancient China Exhibition, Relicase designed wall display cases, protected the classical painting, enhanced display effect.

It is the first time since the re-opening of the National Museum of China that the Classical Painting of Ancient China exhibition is on display. All items in this exhibition are ancient classical painting, most of them are rectangular.

The classical painting collection at the National Museum of China covers a wide range of subjects and styles. Limited by the original exhibition space, most of them have not been shown to the public until now. In this exhibition, featuring two of the most celebrated pieces in the collection: Qianlong Emperor's Southern Inspection Tour and Strange Tales of Liaozhai.

Qianlong Emperor's Southern Inspection Tour is composed of 12 scrolls, which 4 of them are on display in this exhibition. These scrolls serve as a visual record that captures the social conditions and the landscapes during 'the Golden Age of Kangxi and Qianlong Emperors'.

Strange Tales of Liaozhai is based on the classical Chinese tales written by Pu Songling. The themes of the tales combine folk attractiveness with literary significance. It is composed of wooden plates and colorful images on silk scroll.

For the project with the Mid Antrim Museum, Relicase supplies museum display cases, that brought us high praise at our professional skills and rich experiences.

Through this project, Relicase successfully landed on England. For glass, plinth, and illumination, all were strictly followed by international standard.

The Mid-Antrim Museum offers a range of talks, events and excursions which provide enjoyable ways to get involved with local history. From family activities to topics of special interest - there's something for everyone. Of course, there's an unmissable range of changing exhibitions too!

Named after the river that runs through Ballymena, the Braid weaves together history, arts and culture alongside contemporary conference, tourism and civic facilities on a site that has been for centuries the centre of local civic life.
