Jiangsu art museum located in the cultural center of Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. It is one of the most important exhibition buildings in southeast China. It was founded in 1936, during the Nanjing decade, was the first national art museum in China's modern history. In September 1960, it was renamed as Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum. Since then, it has been attaching great importance in organizing exhibition in fine arts, collecting great art works, and setting up tasks in artistic composition, research and cultural exchanges with foreign countries, presenting traditional and contemporary art pieces of China.
The museum has an area of 4,700 square meters. The main building of the museum has four stories with seven exhibition halls of different sizes. The museum collects more than 10,000 art works,most of which are modern and contemporary works from China and the world, including Chinese ancient paintings, Chinese calligraphy, new style prints, watercolor paintings and art works from foreign countries.

The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) represents Islamic art from three continents over 1,400 years. Its collection includes metal work, ceramics, jewelry, wood work, textiles and glass obtained from three continents and dating from the 7th to the 19th century. The museum houses a collection of work gathered since the late 1980's including manuscripts, textiles, Ivory and ceramics. It is one of the world’s most complete collections of Islamic artifacts, with items originating in Spain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, India, and Central Asia.
